If you know anything about Detroit, you know that Faygo soda is a big deal around here, and we love our coney dogs too! People that go downtown for coney dogs always seem to disagree on which original coney island is the best in Detroit. The choices are Lafayette Coney or American. I always liked Lafayette -- and this is where my illustration was inspired too! It's totally retro inside and I believe it was the first of the two. My original illustration was done in watercolor.
